Description

WEDOLiT AN 4240 is a modern formulated corrosion inhibitor for steel and other metals, which develops a slightly greasy film. The resulting film consists of natural corrosion protection additives with a specific odour. It offers a long-term corrosion protection (indoor storage) and can be applied by spraying, flooding or by means of rollers. A homogenisation before usage is recommended.

Fulfills all requirements regarding Altautorichtlinie 2000/53/EG. Not subject to the German VOC-regulation (VOC-guideline, 31. BImSchV) as well as to the Swiss regulation for VOC (Lenkungsabgabe VOCV Swiss).

  • Suitable for VCI-foils: The full corrosion protection is only given in the solvent-free film, therefore a short storage time until the solvent evaporates must be observed, especially before packing in boxes with foils
  • Stable against acidic and alkaline contamination
  • Good material compatibility
  • Easily removable with organic solvents (cold cleaners) or water-miscible alkaline industrial cleaners
  • Ideal for covered storage
  • Offers protection against atmospheric contamination, e.g. dissolved gases which cannot penetrate the protecting film (water vapour permeability)
